    Medtrics Certified Champion Enroll

    Our Story

    We were the users.

Every medical school, residency program, nursing college, and veterinary school has purchased technology. They signed the contract. Ran the training sessions. And the spreadsheets remain. We built the company we needed back then.

"I was the resident with the fax machine."
    Santhosh Cherian, Co-founder & CEO

    2013

A physician who lived the problem.

2013. The ACGME had just rolled out its new milestones, and Santhosh Cherian — then a fourth-year medical student on an internal medicine rotation — watched the faculty teaching him medicine drown in the tracking those milestones demanded. Data compiled by hand. Reported every six months. Nights lost to spreadsheets instead of patients.

He had built software before medical school, and it was his own faculty who pushed him: build something better. He didn't set out to build a "platform." He set out to answer a question: What would clinical education management look like if it were designed by someone who actually lives it?

He carried the question through residency and into practice — he's still an emergency radiologist today — and Medtrics grew the way his career did: from one evaluation tool into an operating system. Technology, people, and process, delivered as a single engagement.

How We Behave Is the Brand

    Five values. Zero wall art.

    Own Everything, Blame Nothing.

Every institution works with people who know its programs by name. When something breaks anywhere in your workflow — our code, your configuration, a third-party feed — we run it down first and assign blame never. Accountability here is an operating model, not an escalation path.

Costs us: The comfort of a scapegoat. Fast explanations.

    Good Enough, Never Is.

This platform holds data that decides accreditations, match outcomes, and nine figures of federal reimbursement. At those stakes, “works most of the time” is a failure state. Everything is proven at full institutional scale — tens of thousands of learners, years of history — before a client ever touches it.

Costs us: Faster launches. The right to call “the client accepted it” done.

    Design Deeply, Ship Simply.

Seventy-three steps. That’s what one task took on a platform a client escaped. Our doctrine is the opposite: affiliation rules, capacity constraints, and accreditation hierarchies live on our side of the glass. Your coordinators get one intuitive way to do the job, in three clicks. Complexity is our department.

Costs us: The easy yes. Design weeks nobody will ever see — which is how you know they worked.

    Straight Answers, Every Time.

You’ll hear “here’s what it can’t do yet” during the sales process, real timelines instead of invented ones at renewal, and “let me verify” instead of a confident guess from anyone here. Trust in this category is built over a hundred interactions — and it compounds only if every answer holds.

Costs us: Comfortable meetings. The image of always knowing.

    Chase Impact, Not Applause.

We measure ourselves in hours returned to coordinators, clean site visits, and match letters that went out on time — not in press releases. When the work succeeds at your institution, it is presented as your institution’s success. Making the people who pay the bill look good is the job.

Costs us: Applause we earned and didn’t collect.

    The Culture Handbook

We put it in writing — including the parts that cost us.

The full handbook — every value’s story, what each one is not, and the five questions we ask in every values interview — goes to every candidate before their first conversation.

    Culture

    Small team. Every detail matters.

We're not a 500-person company with a clinical education division. We're a team of people who think about clinical education every single day. That focus is the product.

Everyone here has either worked in clinical education, trained in a teaching hospital, or spent years building software for the people who do. We don't have a "domain expert." Everyone is.

We ship weekly. We answer the phone. We remember your program's name.
