As a trainees' work and time off schedules are entered into Medtrics, the IRIS assignment database is adjusted. Trainees' time is automatically allocated to different sponsors based on their schedule. Allocation can be as detailed as the number hours they spend at each site.
There are many data quality checks built into Medtrics, which can be run by the program or institutional leadership. This includes checking for schedule overlaps, gaps in training, sequence of dates, etc.
Robust reports are available for both institutional and program leadership. This allows departments and sites to review and confirm the cost reports before the finance department performs an edit. Initial program review of the reports prevents unnecessary back-and-forth to correct issues.
